Candidates applying for the various Posts in the GPSC GOA should not exceed 45 Years of age.

GPSC GOA 2024-25 Eligibility

Senior SurgeonOfficers of the Central/State Government Administration: (a) (i) Holding analogous posts on a regular basis; or (ii) 5 years of regular service in the scale of Rs.8000-275-13500 (pre-revised). (b) Possessing educational qualifications and experience prescribed for direct recruits: (i) A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post-graduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in the speciality concerned. (iii) Work in a responsible position connected with the speciality concerned for 3 years after the post-graduation degree or 5 years after the post-graduation Diploma.
Junior Surgeon(i) A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
(ii) Post-graduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in the speciality concerned.
(iii) In the case of Diploma holders, work in a responsible position connected with the speciality concerned for 2 years after the post-graduation Diploma.
(iii)Knowledge of Konkani.

Probation Officer (Female)(i) Master’s degree in Social Service / Social Welfare / Social Work / Sociology / Psychology / Home Science with Nutrition or Child development as a subject from a recognized University or equivalent.

(i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
(ii) National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor: Provided, however, that candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in compliance with the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulation 2009”, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges.
(ii)Knowledge of Konkani.
(i) Ph. D. or M. Phil. in the relevant subject.
(ii)Knowledge of Marathi.
