BOB Clerk 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification 

A candidate applying for the post of Bank of Baroda clerk must withhold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Candidates in their final year of college and those pursuing post graduation can also apply for the post. 


Age Requirement

A candidate applying for the post of Bank of Baroda clerk should have a minimum age of 21 years and maximum age of 28 years. Certain reserved categories are provided age relaxation by the government. The age relaxation is as follows:

  • scheduled caste and scheduled tribes – 5
  • OBC category – 3 years. 


Subjects from various communities are eligible for age relaxation:

  • For SC/ST: up to 5 years
  • For OBC: up to 3 years

To fill the application form, the applicant has to pay an application fee.

The fee has to be paid via online mode using a debit card, credit card, net banking, E-Challan, or UPI


BOB Clerk Selection Procedure 

The Bank of Baroda Clerk exam is conducted in two phases:

  • Preliminary written exam 
  • Means written exam
  • Document Verification


Preliminary Exam 

  • The preliminary exam is an online exam
  • The duration of which is 1 hour or 60 minutes 
  • The paper consists of 100 questions 
  • All the questions in the paper are multiple choice questions 
  • 1 mark is awarded for each correct answer while there is negative marking for incorrect answers
  • Unanswered questions cost no marks 
  • The candidates are tested in three dimensions including English language, numerical ability and reasoning ability. Each section carries approximately 30 questions each. 


Mains Exam 

  • The Bank of Baroda clerk mains exam is also conducted in online mode 
  • There are 190 questions in the paper
  • The duration of the exam is 2 hours 40 minutes or 160 minutes 
  • The questions asked are usually multiple choice questions 
  • The scoring happens in a similar manner as in the preliminary exam. 
  • 1 mark is awarded for each correct answer while 1/4th mark per wrong answer is deducted.
  • There are three sections in the paper which include general or financial awareness, general English, quantitative aptitude & reasoning ability and computer aptitude
