DSSSB PGT Eligibility Criteria 2025
The following lists the educational requirements and age restriction for the postgraduate teacher recruitment process run by the New Delhi Municipal Council and the Directorate of Education.
Educational Qualification:
A candidate must have a Master’s Degree in one of the following subjects—Hindi, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Commerce, History, Geography, Political Science, or Sociology—with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Additionally, the candidate must have completed one of the following teacher education programs from an institution recognized by the NCTE:
- Two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
- Three-year Bachelor of Education cum Master of Education (B.Ed. + M.Ed.)
- Four-year Bachelor of Arts cum Bachelor of Education (BA + B.Ed.)
- Four-year Bachelor of Science cum Bachelor of Education (BSc + B.Ed.)
Age Limit:
- The candidate’s age must be between 21 and 30 years.
- Age relaxation is available as per government rules:

There are two stages for the selection process of PGT recruitment under the Directorate of Education and New Delhi Municipal Council. The two stages are Written Exam and Document Verification. Details regarding each stage can be found below.
