RRB Group D exam notification 


The Railway Recruitment Board has not announced anything about the recruitment yet. But RRB is expected to announce the official notification about RRB Group D Level 1 posts, which may take place between October and December 2024. A large number of vacancies will be announced by the Railway Recruitment Board for the posts of Track Maintainer Grade IV, Helper in technical departments such as electrical and mechanical departments, Assistant Pointsman, Level 1 posts. These posts will be filled with efficient candidates after conducting a selection process that takes place in three stages: a written test, a physical test, and a medical test. Vacancies in RRB Group D


The Railway Recruitment Board will always have a recruitment process where a huge number of candidates will be selected. RRB Group D vacancies for the year 2024 will be announced, and the number of vacancies will be divided based on category-wise allocation in the recruitment process. The official details about the number of vacancies will be announced by the board during the release of the application form. The expected number of vacancies is approximately more than 1,00,000. RRB Group D Level 1 Eligibility Criteria 


Certain eligibility criteria are followed to be evaluated by the Railway Recruitment Board. The eligibility criteria are based on certain things. The applicants who meet these criteria are allowed to apply for the RRB Group D vacancies. The eligibility criteria are as follows:


Nationality: The applicants are required to be citizens of India, or they can be residents of Nepal or Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees who came to India and settled in India before the year 1962, or people from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam who came to India to become permanent residents of India. 


Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed the higher secondary education or Class 10 by an institution that is under the control or recognized by NCVT/SCVT or the institute should have the NCVT provided National Apprenticeship Certificate. 


Age limit: The age limit is one of the important factors considered in the application process of the Railway Recruitment Board. The candidates are required to have a minimum age of 18 and a maximum age of 33. Based on the norms of RRB, certain age relaxations can be given. 


Application Form of RRB Group D Level 1 posts and Instructions to Fill Application 


The announcement of application forms and dates regarding the starting and closing dates of the application form is the first activity that will be carried out by the Railway Recruitment Board. The application form is expected to be released by October 2024. The steps to be followed in the application process are as follows: 


1) Official website of the Railway Recruitment Board is to be visited.

2) Click on the notification regarding the application form.

3) Fill in all the required details related to personal information, identity proofs, and educational qualifications. 

4) After entering all the essential details, check all the details, click the submit option, and pay the application fee through an online transaction. 

5) Download the application form, print it out, and have it as a hard copy for future reference. 


RRB Group D Level 1 Application fee 


In the process of application the application fee is one of the important factors. If the application fee is not paid, the application form will not be taken into consideration. The application fee varies based on the category of the person. The application fee for the candidate who belongs to the General and OBC categories is Rs. 500, and for candidates from SC/ST/PWD/Women/Transgender/EWS, it is Rs. 250. 


RRB Group D Level 1 Admit Card


The admit card will be provided after the application process; the admit card will be provided one or two weeks before the examination date, and all the information regarding the dates of the exam, the selection process, the exam venue, and the shift of the examination is mentioned. The admit card is required to be carried as a hard copy to the examination center. 


RRB Group D Level 1 Selection Process


The RRB Group D Recruitment 2024, selection process will be held in various stages to evaluate the candidate’s suitability for the job in Indian Railways. The phases are as follows:


Written Examination: The first phase of the selection process is the written examination, which is carried out by computer based test. This phase checks the general knowledge, functional arithmetic knowledge, and knowledge regarding languages. The examination will be conducted for 100 marks and the candidates are required to secure more than the minimal cut-off marks. 


Physical Efficiency Test (PET): The selected candidates from the previous phase are advanced to the physical efficiency test. Certain activities will be given to evaluate the physical fitness of the candidate. Men should be able to carry 35 kg for 100 meters within 2 minutes; the candidate should run a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds. In the same way, women are required to carry 20 kg for 100 meters within 2 minutes, and in running, the candidate should cover the distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds. 


Document verification: The shortlisted candidates from the previous phases of selection are advanced to document verification. The candidates are required to have all the certificates that were mentioned in the admit card to check all the proofs.


Medical examination: The final phase of examination. The candidates are required to clear the medical process to get placed in the railway job. 




The salaries for the candidates who work in RRB Group D Level 1 posts range from Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 25,000. The candidates who are selected for the role can be placed across India. The placement in a certain place cannot be expected. The announcement about the notification is expected to be released by October 2024, and aspirants are required to check the official website regularly.
