East Central Railway Recruitment Educational Qualification
- Cultural Quota Posts – Group C:
- 12th (+2stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate from a recognized Board.
- 50% marks are not required for SC/ST/Ex-Senvicemen/Persons with Benchmark Disables (PWD) candidates or where the candidates possess higher qualifications i.e Graduation/Post Graduation etc from a recognized university.
- Possession of degree/diploma/certificate in the concerned discipline from a government-recognised Institute.

Selection Process of East Central Railway Jobs:
- Selection will be conducted through written tests and assessment of talent in the relevant field based on Practical Demonstration and testimonials/Prizes etc.
- Written Test: 50 Marks
- Practical Demonsatatrtion: 35 Marks
- Testimonials/Prizes: 15 Marks
- Testimonials/Prizes will distributed as:
- National level (One event-05 mark, Two or more events): 07 Marks
- State level (One event- 04 marks, Two or more events): 05 Marks
- Others (One event- 02 marks, Two or more events): 03 Marks
- The date, venue and time of the written examination will be intimated to the eligible candidate by post and will also be posted on our website.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
- In written test, the candidate who will obtain at least 40% marks out of 50, will be eligible for the next stage of the test i.e. Practical Demonstration & evaluation of Testimonial/Prizes.
- The number of candidates to be called for the next stage of the test will be equal to 05 times the number of vacancies in each stream.
- If more than one candidate obtains the minimum cut-off mark, all such candidates will be called for the next stage of the test.
- 40% marks in aggregate (100 marks) will be the minimum qualifying mark for empanelment.
- The panel will be formed purely on a merit basis.
Application Fee for Railway Vacancy 2024
- For all candidates: Rs. 500/- (Rs. 400/- will be refunded to candidates appearing in the Written examination)
- For candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/Persons with 40% or above Disabilities (PwBDs), Women, Minorities and Economic Backward Classes: Rs. 250/- (Rs. 250/- will be refunded to candidates appearing in the written examination)
