CBSE Eligibility Criteria 2025

Below are the educational requirements and age restrictions for the Junior Assistant and Superintendent positions open to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

Educational Qualification:

Junior Assistant: Eligibility A student needs to have completed the Intermediate (Class 12) Exam from an institution approved by the State Board, the CBSE, or the CISCE. In addition, a computer typing speed of 35 words per minute (WPM) in English or 30 wpm in Hindi is expected from the candidate.

Superintendent: The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in any field from a university approved by the UGC. The candidate must also have at least three years of experience working as an administrator in an educational setting.

Age Limit:

  • Junior Assistant: A person must be less than 18 or older than 27.
  • Superintendent: The applicant should not be younger than 21 or older than 40.

For OBC-NCL candidates, the upper age restriction is loosened by three years, while for SC and ST applicants, it is loosened by five years. PwBD applicants are also granted an additional ten years of age relaxation.
